a first

So, a blog. I have been wanting to do this for a while. Basically because people I think are cool have blogs. And it happened to work out that a class I am taking is requiring me to try a new technology. So, bam.

I am feeling tired this week. Surprise. I feel like in one way or another I am always tired. This weekend I was in Virginia Beach for a Young Life weekend. We heard from a speaker that was awesome and got to lay on the beach which was also awesome. But I was struck with lots of things in my life. Things I want to be about and things I do not want to be about. So how do I make it happen? One has been prayer. I am buying into more prayer.

I am realizing more that I just want to spend time with people I love. This weekend I loved sharing meals with people. I loved walking on the beach with Bradley. I loved talking with Jenn. I loved picking my sister up from school for dinner. I loved the multiple car rides with my team. I hate not having time for things like these. I hate saying, nope sorry I'm too busy to have lunch with you, or answer your call, or stop and talk because I have things to do. I hate that. I can't wait for heaven because I finally won't be too busy. This year, my last year, I don't want to be in a hurry. I don't want to be rushed. Jesus always had time.

Next year will come on its own. And I'm sure it'll be great. But for now, no hurry. No rush.
