do not fear.

It has been a while since I have written a post. This past week I was out of commission due to the nasty stomach flu that has been going around. I have been under the weather the past week eating only broth--it is exciting to decide whether to eat Chicken, Vegetable or Beef broth. Oh exciting choices.

This weekend was also mother's day. I don't really like this holiday and I do like this holiday all in one emotion. I like it because there are mom's who should be celebrated extra, loved on and thanked for the love and support. And I don't like this holiday because it reminds me that my mom is not here to be celebrated extra, loved on and thanked for her love and support. And I get a little bit bitter and upset, and sad. But then I remember. That my mom has no more pain, that she is with Jesus. I can't even imagine what that must be like. But I know I can learn still from the example of her life. And make her proud--to be the woman she always dreamed of when she found out she was having a baby girl. To reflect Christ's Hope to people the way she did to me at age 10. And to not be afraid. That is what I remember the most... my mom was not afraid. I want to be like that. Lord, help me to live and believe the words, "do not fear."

  1. Your mom would be CRAZY proud of you!! And she and my mom would have eaten Bodo's together when she visited, I just know it.
